4th of July Sparkler Star Decoration Tutorial

 4th of July Sparkler Star Decoration 
Add a little sparkle around the house for Independence day.


Supplies:
Folk Art Acrylic paint in red, white and blue
Paint brush
Toothpick
1 wooden stars ( Mine were pre-painted white with sliver glitter on them)
1 Popsicle stick
Masking tape
Glue gun
Red, silver and blue tinsel/glitter/ metallic pipe cleaners ( Find at most craft stores)
1 balloon weight with metallic foil paper in red blue and silver ( I got mine at the dollar store!)

4th of July Sparkler Star Decoration 



Directions:
1. Place masking tape on the star in order to paint a blue area. Let dry then take off the masking tape.(to see a step by step photo click here)
2. Then place masking tape stripes. Color the open stripes red. Wait until dry then remove masking tape.
3. Draw white stars on the blue paint with a toothpick.
4. Glue a popsicle stick to the back of the star
5.Cut 2 or 3 of each color (red, blue, silver) metallic foil from the balloon weight and glue to the back of the star.
6. Wrap one of each color (red, blue, silver) pipe cleaner onto the popsicle stick and enjoy!


I decided to place my sparkler star in my pot of pink petunias! <3 br="">
