Top 5 Must Haves For A Cinco De Mayo Party
Need help planning your Cinco De Mayo party? Check out these TOP 5 must haves!

1. DIY Mini Pinatas

DIY Mini Pinatas

These are so cute and my absolute favorite! Make mini pinatas for decorations or party favors! You can place them on the table or hang them up. Fill them up with candy or be bold and use confetti. This photo and idea is from  www.ablackbirdsepiphany.co.uk

2. Churro Cupcakes
Churro Cupcakes with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting; What a great idea for Cinco de Mayo!

Don't forget the dessert! Why not turn an all time favorite into a cupcake? A churro cupcake is must.  This photo and idea is from www.ladybehindthecurtain.com

3. Jello Shots
Cinco de Mayo Jello Shots: Tequila, lime, Cointreau, and salt, all in one ridiculously festive Jello Shot. (P.S. Yes, it's in a lime rind!)
Some say a Cinco De Mayo party is not complete without alcohol! This is a fun and creative twist on jello shots. Place the jello in a lime. This photo and idea is from www.brit.co. Since the lime peel is green you could use red jello and top it off with whipped cream!

4. Decorations
How to PiƱata Your Party Using Only 3 Materials. You have got to love tissue paper... It creates less waste and adds a great touch to a present or for decorating a room...
Or having the party inside? Do a fun pinata fiesta theme like the photo above from http://www.brit.co
A great party is only as good as its decorations. Use bold colors or stick to the green, red and white.

5.  Mexican Green Salad
mexican green salad
Last but not least a fresh salad is always a hit. This is the perfect side filled with lettuce, avocados, cucumber, cheese and tortilla chips. Topped with creamy Cesar dressing. I became addicted after the first bite. This is always my go to salad.
Ingredients:
1 large head romaine lettuce , chopped
 1 large cucumber, chopped
 2 avocados , chopped
1/2 cup shredded Mexican four cheese
 1/2 tsp pepper
 Creamy Cesar Dressing
 Tortilla chips or strips

Directions:
Mix everything in a bowl except the dressing and tortilla chips/strips. If you don't have tortilla strips you can crush tortilla chips together and sprinkle as much as you want. Then you can mix in the dressing. The reason I don't place the tortilla chips/strips or dressing into the salad is so that it won't get soggy. You want the chips/strips to be crunchy. The amount of chips and dressing is up to the person.
